Permission Slip: Dr. Hughley to provide to students

• Student Registration & Meal Purchase: 
• Link for 8th grade students to register, and purchase a meal for 8th grade Night. Due by Tuesday, August 27th. Online Store (boosterhub.com)
• FRMS Parent Volunteers (6 needed): Link for 8th grade parents to shadow a High School parent in a few key tasks behind the scenes. https://sandycreekbands.boosterhub.com/calendar/2680?eventId=222124 (register by 8/27 for free entry into the game)

AGENDA

Thursday, August 29th:

• 4-5pm: FRMS students practice with SCHS Band. Pickup from Flat Rock: 5:15PM

[light snacks will be provided at FRMS after school]

Friday, August 30th

• 3:15pm: Students stay after school at Flat Rock (w/ Dr. Hughley) WITH INSTRUMENTS
• 4:15pm: Students walk to Sandy Creek band room (w/ Dr. Hughley)
• 4:45-6:00pm: Students eat dinner and participate in a few games with Sandy Creek Band students. FRMS must pre-order by August 27th, cost :$7 via link here. Online Store (boosterhub.com)
• 6:30pm: Students warm up with Sandy Creek Band
•  ~7:30pm: Students participate in the National Anthem with Sandy Creek Band
•  7:45pm: Students participate in stand tunes (in stands with Sandy Creek Band)
•  ~8:30pm*: Students participate in half time show
• ~9:00pm*: return to Flat Rock (w/Dr. Hughley)
• SCHS Boosters distribute Thank You gifts to 8th graders as (send back to FRMS with chaperones to be distributed at FRMS on Monday)

What is 8th Grade Night?

8th Grade Night is a fantastic opportunity for 8th-grade students to see what it would be like to be a part of the award-winning Sandy Creek Band! 8th-grade students get to meet current band members, ask questions, enjoy treats and be part of the exclusive pre-game marching band meeting, march into The Sandy Creek Battlefield, and play stand tunes in the stands with their new band friends!

What do I need to do for my student to participate?

Participation is FREE and all 8th grade band students are invited to participate. Students will report to the Flat Rock band room at 4pm on Friday, August 30th, and then the fun begins!

What if I have questions or would like to meet current band parents?

You're in luck! Band parents would like to meet you, too! We'll be available outside the Sandy Creek Band room (see map below) starting at 6pm, which gives you plenty of time to ask questions and be poised to watch your 8th grader march in with the Sandy Creek Band!
